Yahoo Sports articles are a cornerstone of the platform’s content strategy and revenue. As we expanded into new strategic partnerships, the legacy article surface needed a major overhaul to support distinct visual templates and lift baseline engagement.
We started by rebuilding the layout to dramatically improve density. We refreshed the visuals for a more modern, cohesive look and introduced new branded templates. Finally, we launched a fully programmable right‑rail module system that empowers editors to surface curated content, deepen exploration, and keep fans reading longer.
